The 2022 model year is already shaping up to be a big one, with all kinds of new and updated vehicles already beginning to trickle into the news. We’ve got to ourselves right here at Nanaimo Mitsubishi, including the compact 2022 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross. We thought we’d see how this beauty measures up to one of its biggest competitors, which also happens to be new for 2022 – the Kia Sportage. Check out the table below for a glimpse into their specifications.
These two vehicles are pretty comparable to one another, but each one has its areas of expertise. We started off looking at fuel economy ratings, which marked the big difference between these two vehicles. If you’re looking for a city driver, then the fuel efficiency of the Eclipse Cross might be more alluring as it offers superior mileage in that regard. The opposite is true for the Sportage, but both vehicles provide the same combined scores.
In terms of power, unfortunately, the Eclipse Cross does give up an edge to the Sportage, but the difference isn’t that vast. The Eclipse Cross continues to deliver a fun and enjoyable experience on the road even with this small deficit. The new Mitsubishi has plenty to offer outside of what’s shown in the table, such as its safety features like standard Forward Collision Mitigation with Pedestrian Detection, Lane Departure Warning and Automatic High Beam, or its impressive list of connectivity and entertainment features.
If you think you might be interested in a 2022 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross of your own, don’t hesitate to get in touch with us right here at Nanaimo Mitsubishi. We look forward to hearing from you!
